Choose one job you can judge.
Pick a task you already do often enough to recognise a good result. Keep the first version narrow: gathering notes before a call is easier to verify than delegating an entire customer relationship.
| Recurring job | First useful result | Your decision |
|---|---|---|
| Prepare for a call | A brief with sources and open questions | What to discuss |
| Follow up after a meeting | A draft grounded in your notes | What to promise and send |
Give Jarvis a reason to do the work.
Share the goal, people and constraints that make a routine matter. For a design-partner conversation, useful context might be your current product, the customer’s previous feedback and the next decision you need.
Jarvis combines memory, goals and awareness with a workflow engine. Awareness can suggest a recurring pattern; you confirm its meaning. Saving a fact or observing activity does not prove that a business goal has been achieved.
A prompt to start with
My goal is to learn why design partners stop after their first workflow. Help me prepare for tomorrow’s customer call using the notes I provide. Separate what the customer said from our assumptions. Suggest three questions. Do not contact the customer.
Turn a useful result into a routine.
Try the job with supplied context
Check that the first brief or draft is useful before adding integrations.
Define the repeated process
Choose the source, trigger, output and the review you need.
Connect and test
Connect only the relevant accounts. Test missing notes and incorrect contact matches.
Review the first runs
Compare the result with doing the task yourself. Include correction and supervision time in your assessment.
Know what remains yours.
Jarvis is most useful when you want context and recurring execution together. A simple one-off writing task may only need an assistant. A highly specified app-to-app process may fit an existing automation tool.
- Strategy, relationships and commitments need your judgement.
- Generated text can be wrong. Check sources, amounts, dates and names.
- Awareness and connected tools require access to your work. Choose permissions deliberately.
- A workflow can fail when a source disappears or an app changes. Someone still owns maintenance.
Start hosted, or run the brain yourself.
Hosted plans include the brain and an AI allowance. Download the desktop companion, connect your brain and choose the access it needs.
Self-hosting is available if you want to manage the runtime and model providers yourself. Your machine, API usage and maintenance still have a cost.
